APS Healthcare was selected by the Puerto Rico Health Insurance Administration (ASES) as the sole Managed Behavioral Health Organization (MBHO) for the Government Health Plan.  APS will coordinate and provide behavioral health and substance abuse services under an integrated model of care to the beneficiaries of the Government Health Plan.

With a network that includes 23 multidisciplinary clinics and a group of fee for service behavioral health providers located all over the island APS enhances and increases access to promote patient safety and quality of care.


The APS multidisciplinary clinics are strategically distributed throughout Puerto Rico in order to attend the needs of our beneficiaries for the best behavioral health and substance abuse care. These clinics are conveniently located in the municipalities of Arecibo, Manatí, Fajardo, Bayamón, Naranjito, Carolina, Río Grande, Caguas, Cidra, Humacao, Culebra, Vieques, Orocovis, Guayama, Coamo, Lajas, Ponce, Mayagüez, Aguadilla and Yauco.


These multidisciplinary clinics include a team of behavioral health professionals and are designed within the concept of what is known as “Staff Model Clinics”.

How can I coordinate

my first appointment?


To carry out the coordination process for an appointment, please have your health insurance plan card on hand to ease the process.  In the case of a minor, the call must be made by the minor’s a parent (mother or father), or custodian (guardian) or legal tutor.









How can I coordinate my follow-up appointments?


All follow-up appointments will be offered and coordinated by APS.
